Bang Bang Chicken Bites: Crispy, Creamy & Irresistibly Spicy!
Bang Bang Chicken Bites are the ultimate snack or appetizer—crunchy, juicy chicken bites tossed in a sweet, spicy, and creamy sauce that packs a flavorful punch. Inspired by the popular restaurant favorite, this homemade version is even better and totally addictive!
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-size cubes
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Oil for deep frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp honey or sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for extra tenderness).
- Mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Drain the chicken and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry chicken in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
- Toss the hot fried chicken bites in the Bang Bang sauce until well coated.
- Serve immediately with toothpicks or over lettuce for a party platter!
Tips & Serving Ideas
- For extra heat, add more sriracha or crushed red pepper.
- Serve over jasmine rice or in lettuce cups for a full meal.
- Leftover sauce makes a great dip for fries or veggies!
